MONTGOMERY, Alaska (AP) – Jacoby Ross had 17 points to lead five Alabama state-of-the-art players as the Hornets raced past Mississippi Valley State 82-59 on Monday night.

AJ Farrar added 16 points to the Hornets. Leon Daniels scored 10 points, Kevin Holston was 10 and Reginald Gee was 10. Farrar also had nine rebounds for the Hornets (9-13, 7-4 Athletic Southwestern Conference).

Jordan Evans had 21 points for the Delta Devils (3-22, 1-10), who have now lost nine straight games. Kaleb Allison added nine rebounds. Emmanuel Ejeh had 10 rebounds.

The Hornets improve to 2-0 against the Delta Devils this season. The state of Alabama beat the state of Mississippi Valley 81-79 on January 14th. The state of Alabama will face Alabama A & M at home on Saturday. The state of the Mississippi Valley will face the state of Alcorn at home on Saturday.
