Players Championship 2019: Start Times for Tiger Woods, Field for Third Round, Television Schedule, Live Streaming | Golf

Tiger Woods is expected to resume his 2019 tournament schedule at the Players Championship after a week off due to injury.

It was not a break for the fourteenth major champion, who chose to give up last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational invitation to recover from a neck injury, which had been a successful start to the season after a finish in the top 10 the WGC-Mexico championship.

Woods will now aim to dispel worries about injuries and improve performance at The Players at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Of course, Sawgrass, one of the most famous golf courses, includes the famous 17th hole, a par 3 surrounded almost exclusively by water.

Often called "fifth major" golf, The Players will be a pivotal tournament so Woods can show that his health will not be a problem as the Masters are fast approaching. Woods won twice at Sawgrass, in both 2001 and 2013. Woods tied for 11th place last year at The Players, his first participation in the tournament since 2015 due to an injury.

While Woods is looking for a win, it's normal for him to be paired with Webb Simpson, the 2018 players champion, for the first two rounds. Simpson will try to be the first golfer to repeat himself as a champion of the players. The polarizer Patrick Reed will complete the trio Thursday and Friday.

This will be the first time since 2007 that The Players will be held in March as part of the PGA Tour's 2019 schedule changes.

The player's purse, the winnings

Part of the reason why the player is often considered the fifth major is because of his big purse. This year, the purse raises to $ 12.5 million, which is "the biggest professional golf prize ever seen for a single tournament". The winner should pocket $ 2.25 million.
