The Blue Jackets have acquired the Devils' veteran goaltender for a fifth-round draft pick in the 2022 NHL draft, teams said on Monday.

"We think it's important to give depth to the position," said Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen in a statement. Kinkaid, 29, set career career goals in laundering (3) and minutes played (2,302) and equaled her career highs in contested games (41) and started (38) with a record 15- 18-6 and goals against average of 3.36 this season.
He recorded a 64-55-17 record with an average of 2.90 and a 0.906 efficiency percentage in 151 career games with New Jersey since his NHL debut in 2012-13.
