Until a player signs a contract, it's really hard to know exactly what his offers were. This point was brought home Tuesday with Manny Machado.
the report According to Fancred Sports, a $ 250 million eight-year offer received from the White Sox may not be accurate.
To have heard about a 250 million euros offer for the 8 years of Machado by White Sox is not correct. Maybe or maybe not close, but guess you at least today, it is a little lower. Greater than 175 but less than 250. At least for the moment. (So yes, we still have no facts, but enlightened assumptions.)

And even though this report may be wrong, the potential contract numbers of another report also seem inaccurate.
ESPN and USA Today announced that Chicago has offered Harper a $ 175 million contract over seven years. These reports gave rise to a very harsh statement from the Machado agent, calling the figures fake.
The case seems to be somewhere in the middle, according to Fancred's "enlightened assumptions" and "(a) t at least for the moment".
The Yankees reportedly offered Machado a $ 220 million contract for eight years. So the odds are pretty good that the White Sox figure is pretty much in that range – but nobody really knows what's going on right now.
