Werner meets after contract extension – Leipzig beats Frankfurt

RB Leipzig also won the second league match against Julian Nagelsmann. This is the best start of the Bundesliga season in the still young history of the Leipzig club. At home beat the participants of the Champions League Eintracht Frankfurt 2: 1 (1: 0). Timo Werner (10th minute) and Yussuf Poulsen (80th) met for Leipzig, Goncalo Paciência (89th) for Frankfurt. Leipzig is now second in the table, Frankfurt is in tenth place.

Shortly before the match, Leipzig announced the extension of Werner's contract until 2023. During the match, the national team then showed how valuable it could be for the team.
