In early June, Dr. Tilman Kästle of Sigmaringen, the former president of the Lions club Sigmaringen-Hohenzollern (LC), handed over his office to the new president Wolfgang Kabus of Bad Saulgau during a ceremony at Bad Saulgauer Cafe am Markt. In the beginning Dr. Review his year at the top of the Lions Club. It was titled "Tolerance and Team Spirit in Lions". He notably recalled the 16th charity golf tournament, of which 17,000 euros could be donated to the Child Protection Agency of the district of Sigmaringen. He also mentioned the highlights of the trip to the Daimler factory in Untertürkheim, during which Daimler's work on artificial intelligence (AI) was in the foreground, and a conference on work at the extreme height, in which there is a link between "mountaineering and buildings" and mastering the technical skills of assembly.
The calendar of Advent 2018 had been a great success. 4400 copies were sold. This laid the foundation for a whole series of donations to needy people and institutions.
The culture of friendship between members is, according to Dr. Kästle did not come too short. Friendship and solidarity were consolidated during an electric bike tour in the Danube Valley, at a men's barbecue or during a visit to Werenwag Castle.
After Dr. Kästle the brilliant presidential pin of his successor, Wolfgang Kabus, who wears it proudly from that moment on the reverse. Kabus has presented its program for the next semester as the new president of the LC. Its motto is "to do good with friends". Various conferences, but also sports activities are planned. Then he introduced his team with which he will complete the annual workload. He understands the master of the club, Ralf Haller, the secretary dr. The work of the next Advent calendar should be printed in October with a circulation of 4,500 copies.
17th Lions Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday
Saturday, the 17th Lions Benefit Golf Tournament. Kabus is hoping for a donation similar to last year's. He will hand over the donation check from Gerlinde Kretschmann to Kinderschutzbund this year.
