SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Andy Ludwig is back in Utah as an offensive coordinator and quarterback coach.
Ludwig, who held the same position with the Utes from 2005 to 2008, has been offensive coordinator at Vanderbilt since 2015.
"It's great to meet Andy on our team," said Utah coach Kyle Whittingham in a statement. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a collegiate offensive coordinator, as well as an exceptional coach and quarterback recruiter. Andy is obviously very familiar with our program, which should allow a smooth transition. "
Ludwig was part of the Utah team's team in 2008, who won 13-0 and defeated Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.
During his career, he has been offensive coordinator in California, San Diego and Wisconsin. Prior to serving for Whittingham, he was coordinator on the offensive at Oregon from 2002 to 2004.
A native of Ogden, Utah, Ludwig played wide receiver in Portland.
